1987 Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl Christmas Remembered Plate

This symbolic, commemorative plate from 1987 was produced to celebrate the historic union of Denmark's premier porcelain houses, Royal Copenhagen and Bing & Grondahl. It draws inspiration form the world's first Christmas plates, Royal Copenhagen's "Madonna and the Child" from 1908 and Bing & Grondahl's "Behind the Frozen Window" from 1895.
