"Schmid continues a cherished family tradition.....the second edition annual hanging statuette— a true reproduction of a statuette designed by Berta Hummel. This issue will be produced only in 1984 and it is the second in an annual series. Schmid authenticates that for this second edition annual ornament it has made a true reproduction of a statuette designed by Berta Hummel prior to World War II. On June 5, 1939, Berta Hummel certified in her affidavit before the United States Consul in Munich that se was 'the original, first, and sole inventor of the Design' for the statuette. Berta Hummel's brother, Adolf Hummel, has expressed her family's great pleasure at this exciting new ornament by Schmid."
