Description:
The flower on the Picture can be different from the actual item in stock.
Flora Danica is a porcelain coffee, tea and dinner service with over-glaze decorations. In 1790, The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory began production of Flora Danica.
The story goes that the King of Denmark commissioned the service for the Empress Catherine II of Russia, but she died before the work had been completed and the service remained the property of the Danish Royal Family.
The name and decorations come from the botanical works "Flora Danica" published in the period 1761-1883. Since 1885, the service has been in regular production. The distinctive feature of Flora Danica is its combination of cultural heritage and quality. Each individual piece is a piece of art in itself. All the details are modeled and cut out by hand, just as the motifs are painted freehand from the original copperplates in the encyclopedia, precisely as they were over 200 years ago.
The following items are brand new and come in an exclusive storage box. Most items can be shipped within days, but some might require a delivery time of several weeks.
