The history of art would not be complete without the works of the painter, artist and sculptorAuguste (Pierre A.) Renoir. Born in 1844 in Limoges, died 1919 in Cagnes near Nice. After studying as a porcelain painter, Renoir entered Gleyre's studio in 1861. Renoir started work in the French Realist tradition (Courbet) and was considered an Impressionist until the mid 1870s. His Paintings are full of charm and light.
